Students from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology scientific club PWr in Space successfully took part in the Spaceport America Cup 2021 virtual competition, taking third place in one of the competition categories. 

Students from Wrocław took part in the 10k category – SRAD – Hybrid / Liquid & Other, where they took third place. The task of their rocket was to fly to an altitude of 10,000 feet. The condition was that the rocket had a hybrid or liquid fuel propulsion.

Spaceport America Cup is the largest rocket engineering competition in the world. This year it was organized virtually. 75 teams from 16 countries participated in the competition.

The scientific club PWr in Space of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology in Space belongs to the strategic clubs of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology 2021. Its students develop rockets with hybrid engines, but also with solid fuel. In 2019, they took fourth place at the Spaceport America Cup competition.
