Rzeszów researchers working on a device for digital diagnostics of spine defects

14.04.2021

Scientists led by Eng. Michał Wroński from the Rzeszów University of Technology (PRz) are working on creating an integrated device for digital diagnostics of spine defects. Work on this diagnostic device is carried out with the financial support of the Podkarpackie Innovation Center.

The COVID-19 pandemic has locked many young people in their homes, forcing them to study online and spend many hours sitting down at desks. PRz researchers decided to address the growing problems of spine defects in both children and adults and focused on the development of the project “Digital methods of testing spine defects”.

The solution of scientists from Rzeszów will enable diagnostics in motion and during everyday activities.

-As an IT specialist, I spend a lot of time in front of the computer and I wanted to find out how the spine behaves during such activities and show through a visualization how the spine looks like, marking the areas that may cause problems later- explains MSc. Michał Wroński.
