Scientist of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań developed a hybrid multi- inputs bubble reactor

19.10.2020

Dr Eng. Sebastian Kujawiak of the Department of Water and Sanitary Engineering of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań has developed a hybrid multi- inputs bubble reactor that allows the treatment of wastewater from one or more households, operating like home sewage treatment plants.

The invention has been patented. The solution is unique, because it allows the treatment, lifting and transportation of wastewater in a simple manner. The device can work as an individual system for the treatment and transport of sewage, and as a device for refreshing and transporting sewage in the sewage network.

The apparatus consists of a main bioreactor with a modified airlift and a moving bed installed in the device. There are no moving and control elements inside the reactor, the efficiency of transport, aeration and the cleaning effect result from the configuration of the air lift.
