Scientists from the University of Warsaw among winners of the Sonatina competition

Three researchers from the University of Warsaw (UW) received a grant under the fourth Sonatina competition organized by the National Science Center. The competition was addressed to scientists holding a doctoral title for no longer than three years.

In this year’s competition, 166 applications were submitted. 35 researchers, including three from the University of Warsaw received funding for the implementation of projects and internships in foreign research centers.

The projects of young researchers from the University of Warsaw, include:

“Priests and temple staff in Ptolemaic Egypt. Social and Economic Aspects” led by Dr. Joanna Wilimowska from the Faculty of History.

“Analysis of the concept of a legal entity from an ontological and linguistic perspective” supervised by Dr Paweł Banas from the Faculty of Law and Administration.

“Production and consumption of kitchen ceramics from the research of the Paphos Agora in Cyprus in the Middle and Late Roman Period (3rd -7th century AD) under political, economic and social changes” led by Kamila Nocoń from the Center of Mediterranean Archeology.
