Scientists from the University of Warsaw to receive over PLN 1.4 million

Nine scientists from the University of Warsaw (UW) received funding for pilot studies, queries and research internships with a total amount of over PLN 1,400,000.

After the National Science Center (NCN) published the results of the second and third MINIATURE 6 competition, it turned out that seven researchers from the University of Warsaw will carry out research projects thanks to funding from the National Science Center. They will receive a total of over 180 thousand PLN for preliminary and pilot tests and queries. The results of the sixth SONATINA 6 competition were also published. Two projects submitted by researchers from the University of Warsaw will receive funding in the total amount of over PLN 1,200,000.

Winner of the SONATINA 6 competition, Dr Karolina Frank from the Faculty of History of the University of Warsaw will look at the role and status of women living in Epirus, Greek Illyrian colonies and Thessaly in the 4th-1st century BC, and Dr Aldona Kostuch from the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Warsaw will allocate the funds received for research on new multi-functional hybrid electrocatalysts with low Pt content for fuel cell applications.
