Scientists of the University of Silesia rated as researchers with the greatest impact on the development of world science

Eleven scientists of the University of Silesia were rated with 150,000. researchers from around the world who have the greatest influence on the development of science. The list was prepared by John P. A. Ioannidis, Kevin W. Boyack and Jeroen Baas on the basis of bibliometric indicators and data from the Scopus database.

The authors used the composite citation index, including the number of citations, the Hirsch index and the role of the author of the publication among co-authors. Due to the different citation habits in the disciplines, the most cited scientists from each subject category were also included.

The prestigious group includes: Prof. Beata Walczak, Prof. Grzegorz Racki, Prof. Marian Paluch, Prof. Rafał Sitko, Prof. Eng. Jarosław Polański, Prof. Wojciech Pisarski, Prof. Jan Dec, Prof. Michał Daszykowski, Prof. Barbara Machura, Prof. Michał Baczyński, Prof. Robert Musioł.
