Scientists of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology working out a new cybersystem for mine management

12.10.2020

Scientists of an international consortium with the participation of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology are creating a system to improve the management processes in mines. The solution using the latest technologies will collect, process and analyze thousands of data. It is developed as part of the MaMMa project.

An international scientific and industrial consortium of five countries: Germany, Austria, Sweden, Finland and Poland is working on a comprehensive and intelligent system that will monitor and detect the level of wear of mine machines.

It will also be a tool for planning their maintenance and repairs, as well as for diagnostics and early detection of machine park failures. Ultimately, it will allow for extending the maintenance periods for equipment and vehicles and increasing the availability of mine infrastructure.

The MaMMa (Maintained Mine and Machine) project costs over EUR 1.8 million and is co-financed under the KIC Added Value Activities initiative from the funds of the Horizon 2020 program.
