The Silesian Greenpower team, operating at the Silesian University of Technology, returned to competition in F24+ formula racing. It took first and second place in the competition at the East Fortune track in Scotland and was awarded a special Ford prize.

The electric car competition has been organised by the Greenpower Education Trust since 1999. The competition includes ten races on different tracks, including a world final. Teams can take part in all of them, but only the best three results count towards the overall standings, including the final race.

“It was a great joy, the new line-up of our team competed in the races for the first time and it was an amazing experience. Due to the pandemic break we competed in the league for the first time in four years. During this time, the students changed, in fact a new team was formed”, says Prof. Andrzej Baier, coordinator of the Silesian Greenpower project.
