Dr Monika Frania from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Silesia is the winner of the “Transform4Europe Innovative Teaching Award” competition. The jury of the competition for authors of the best innovative teaching practices awarded her for her project ‘Educational Escape Room’.

The Educational Escape Room is an example of good teaching practice created for adults who want to develop their digital and social competences. Divided into project teams, participants take part in an adventure during which they not only solve puzzles, but also have to create their own escape room. To do this, knowledge, creativity and determination are needed. Overcoming difficulties is an indispensable part of learning, and the escape room is a great example of an unusual challenge.

The competition was organised by the Transform4Europe university alliance, membered by the Silesian university.
