Zofia Bosowska, a graduate student in biotechnology at the Silesian University of Technology, is among the winners of the BioLAB 2022-23 Program. The award is an internship at the University of Virginia – one of the renowned American research centers.

The BioLAB program is intended for undergraduate and doctoral students of biological, chemical and medical faculties. During the internship, students join research teams conducting projects in neurology, crystallography, virology and molecular genetics.

The results of research conducted during the internship often form the basis of articles published in peer-reviewed journals – such as “Nature”, “Proteins: Structure, Function and Bioinformatics” or “Acta Crystallographica”. Scholarship holders also take an active part in the life of the American university, participate in seminars, guest lectures and learn about American culture.
