09.07.2020

Justyna Pelc, a student of the University of Wrocław is one of the volunteers who will spend a total of six weeks in a habitat simulating lunar conditions. The “Bright” mission is ongoing at the Analog Astronaut Training Center in Lesser Poland.

The habitat is currently investigating the impact of diet on human behavior during simulation of space missions and the impact of an innovative sunlight simulator on human health parameters. Mission participants will also perform assigned experiments – including growing cockroaches, cultivating algae in hydproponic farms or carrying out various tasks with rovers.

The Analog Astronaut Training Center is a private laboratory used to simulate the space environment in scientific experiments focusing on space biology and medicine. The facility belongs to the Astro Tech and Bioastronautics Research company. It was created by former specialists of the European Space Agency.
