The projects awarded in the competition for the most ecological solutions for the campus of Wrocław University of Science and Technology include a smart waste container, a module for photovoltaic panels that purifies the air and a system for the effective use of rainwater. 

The main idea of ​​the “Santander Eko Awards for students and doctoral students of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology” was to create designs of innovative ecological installations, supporting the university’s pursuit of zero-emission, taking into account the possibility of the practical application of the proposed solutions on the campus.

26 individual and 16 team projects were submitted their projects to the competition, of which 33 works were finally qualified for evaluation. Students from almost all faculties of the university, as well as doctoral students and students of the doctoral school of the University of Technology, submitted their ideas. Their projects were dominated by solutions related to rainwater management and the revitalization of the campus architecture.
