Students from Gdańsk, Sopot and Warsaw developed a floating platform

13.08.2021

Students from Gdańsk, Sopot and Warsaw have developed a floating platform “YEAHziorak” to organize e.g. a barbecue. It floats on the lake Jeziorak, the longest lake in Poland, and can take up to 12 passengers on board.

The constructors are students of the Gdańsk University of Technology, the Warsaw School of Economics and the University of Sopot. The platform is driven by a 10 HP outboard engine connected to a gearbox and a steering wheel, which allows for trouble-free control, even by an inexperienced person. The vessel has undergone technical inspection and has been registered as a motor yacht.

On the platform, users can use a table, eight chairs, a refrigerator with a capacity of over 40 liters and 6 USB ports for charging electronic devices, as well as remote-controlled LED lighting. There is a space on the deck for a gas grill and three sun loungers. The electrical installation, powered by a 450 W photovoltaic panel, is placed on a special rack.
