14.04.2021

The Polish-US Fulbright Commission has published the list of winners of the BioLAB Program. It included 42 students from Polish universities who will complete a one-year internship at one of four renowned research centers in the USA: Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, University of Chicago, University of Texas – Southwestern Medical Center and University of Virginia.

The BioLAB program is intended for undergraduate and doctoral students of biological, chemical and medical faculties. During the internship, students join research teams conducting projects in such fields as neurology, crystallography, virology and molecular genetics.

The results of research conducted during the internship often become the basis of articles published in peer-reviewed scientific journals such as “Nature”, “Proteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics” or “Acta Crystallographica”. Scholarship holders of the BioLAB program also take an active part in the life of the American universities, participate in seminars, guest lectures and learn about American culture.
