Students received the Awards of the President of the Polish Space Agency

Polish Space Agency announced the results of the competition for the Award of the President of the Polish Space Agency POLSA for the best diploma thesis in Space research.    

In the category of bachelor’s and engineering theses, the awards were given to:

Marta Pasternak from the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław – 1st-degree award for the thesis: “Determination of phenological phases of crops with the use of Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 data”;

Andrzej Laczewski from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow – 2nd degree award for the work “Energy acquisition and data transmission system for the stratospheric pseudo-satellite”;

Grzegorz Pela from the Warsaw University of Technology – 3rd degree award for the work “Design of an aerospike nozzle for a rocket engine for solid propellant”.

In the category of master’s theses, the highest scores were given to:

Artur Łukasik from the Warsaw University of Technology – 1st degree award for the work “Analysis of the effectiveness of the PW-Sat2 satellite deorbital sail operation based on experimental data from the mission”;

Grzegorz Marut from the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław – 2nd degree award for the thesis “Modeling the tropospheric delay in real time using the network of low-cost GNSS URANUS receivers”;

Tomasz Mrugalski from the Gdańsk University of Technology – 3rd degree award for the work “Marking trajectories and orbital maneuvers in the vicinity of the Earth”.
