In the new academic year, students will be able to study Quantum computer science at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The new study will be created in cooperation with IBM.

Quantum informatics is an interdisciplinary study that combines the areas of knowledge in physics and computer science. The studies will educate specialists in the implementation of quantum technologies in the industry related to information technology, as well as research workers in basic fields of physics.

The study created in cooperation with the IBM Quantum Network will allow students to work with technologies that are unique internationally – including the first quantum hub in Central and Eastern Europe, built at the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center.

Students will gain knowledge and competences in independent development and optimization of programs on computers or quantum simulators, and will also be familiarized with existing quantum algorithms.
