University of Adam Mickiewicz launched Center for Research on Women’s Participation in Public Space

The University of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (UAM) has launched the Center for Research on Women’s Participation in Public Space. It is a place of research and projects that combine the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences, theology and the arts.

The tasks of the center include initiating, supporting and conducting scientific cooperation with researchers and researchers from various disciplines and with the economic environment, including disseminating knowledge, conducting and implementing new programs and scientific methods.

During the inauguration of the Center, the rector Prof. Bogumil Kaniewska emphasized, that people need awareness to assure equality. – It is relatively easy to change the law structure but it is the most difficult to change human consciousness, mentality, memory. If we want to change this attitude, we need systematic scientific research. The Center will carry out such research added the rector.
