University of Białystok graduate awarded for the best master’s thesis in socio-economic history

The 2nd Competition for the Award of the Money Centre of the National Bank of Poland for the best master’s thesis in socio-economic history defended in 2021 has been conducted.

The members of the Competition Chapter awarded the 1st Prize of PLN 15,000 to Maciej Kwiatkowski from the University of Białystok for his master’s thesis “Intensity of economic development of starostwos: Gniew (Pomerania) Knyszyn (Podlasie) in the 16th-18th centuries”.

The second prize of PLN 6,000 was received by Marcin Bubicz of the Catholic University of Lublin for his master’s thesis “Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and the policy of the British administration towards Poland in the years 1979 – 1990” and the 3rd Prize of PLN 4,000 was given to Patryk Kuc from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków for his thesis “Krzeszów starostwo in the years 1547-1779: a socio-economic study”.
