University of Gdańsk to cooperate with the energy group Polenergia SA

The University of Gdańsk has signed a cooperation agreement with Polenergia SA – the largest private energy group operating in energy generation from conventional and renewable sources as well as electricity distribution and trading. 

– The undertaken cooperation is another step towards training staff for the economy of the future, based on renewable energy sources, implementing the mission of caring for our planet – says the vice-rector of the University of Gdańsk for innovation and cooperation with the socio-economic environment, Prof. Krzysztof Bielawski.

The purpose of the agreement is to transfer knowledge and undertake activities supporting the implementation of a sustainable EU economy. As part of the agreement, the partners allocated funds to finance two workplaces for women who want to undertake postgraduate studies “Education for sustainable development. Offshore wind energy” organized by the university’s Center for Sustainable Development.
