University of Rzeszów sums up its cooperation with the GROM Military Unit

30.12.2021

As a result of a cooperation agreement signed in August 2020, the University of Rzeszów (UR) held a meeting with the GROM Military Unit. The aim of the meeting was to summarize the first stage of the project and define the next activities.

The purpose of the agreement was establishing through research and tests what changes occur in the body under the influence of extreme conditions. The knowledge gained in this way may be used to develop preventive medicine programs to prepare and protect soldiers against the effects of unfavorable factors, such as a shock wave during detonation or body stress resulting from specialist tactical training.

The research will also increase the psychological effectiveness of soldiers, e.g. the ability to learn quickly, coping with stress and emotions. It concerns many areas related to service in special units including: the HPP project, comprehensive studies, radiological and performance studies, Traumatic Brain Injury risk assessment, steroid profile studies, biomechanical assessment, audiological studies and supplementation.
