University of Silesia to launch project “V4 Humanities Education for Climate. Diagnoses – good practices – recommendations”

16.10.2020

The University of Silesia has started the project “V4 Humanities Education for Climate. Diagnoses – good practices – recommendations”. The aim of the scientists is to develop in the countries of the Visegrad Group (Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia) the foundations of a multilateral, modern humanistic education with a sense of responsibility for the present and the climate future of the planet.

The project, implemented under the Visegrad Funds, involves representatives of the humanities and practitioners: teachers and educators representing various levels of education and various institutions of the Visegrad Group countries.

Researchers will develop a pro-climate education project combining knowledge from several humanistic scientific disciplines, friendly to students and pupils, corresponding to the specificity of life experiences of young people and at the same time generating new forms of behavior in the spirit of respect and empathy – attitudes that do not harm the planet.
