University of Warmia and Mazury to present investment plans

01.01.2022

The University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn is planning to spend approximately PLN 100 million on investments in 2022, mostly on completing the construction of the new buildings for the Faculty of Law and Administration and the Faculty of Social Sciences, as well as equipping the Kortosfera Science Popularization and Innovation Center.

The university is planning also to include modernization of the buildings of the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry and the Faculty of Economic Sciences in the next months.

University of Warmia and Mazury also wants to focus on generating its own electricity.

-We intend to proceed with photovoltaic installations in our buildings. This is not planned for 2022, but we are preparing the pre-investment process. We actually have two ideas. One is the installation of photovoltaic installations up to 50 kW on the roofs of our buildings (which would compensate for the costs incurred for electricity). I do not hide that work is already underway on the construction of our own photovoltaic farm – informs the Chancellor of UWM Bogusław Stec.
