The University of Warsaw (UW) has opened a new building at Dobra 55 Street. There are 92 classrooms, modern laboratories, a multimedia room for 150 people, relaxation zones with mobile seats and a roof garden at 28 thousand m2 of space.
The new research and teaching building, both in terms of area and financial outlays, is one of the largest investments of the long-term, comprehensive development program of the university. The total value of investments is over PLN 183 million.
Thanks to the implementation of the investment, appropriate working and learning conditions were created for employees and students of the University of Warsaw including Applied Linguistics and Modern Languages faculties. “The new headquarters will strengthen the potential of the university in interdisciplinary research in humanities and social sciences”, says Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, the rector of the University of Warsaw.
