University of Wroclaw joins the consortium of the Ruralization project

Scientists of the University of Wroclaw Dr Sylwia Dołzbłasz, Dr Krzysztof Janc and Dr Andrzej Raczyk received funding under the Horizon 2020 grant for the project “RURALIZATION The opening of rural areas to renew rural generations, jobs and farms”.

The aim of the project, entirely funded by the European Union, is to broaden knowledge and support policy-making in response to the challenges that rural areas face today in Europe in the context of economic, social and territorial cohesion. The project’s budget is 6 million euros.

The research is to support rural renewal processes – especially in the field of identification of innovative instruments and strategies facilitating generational renewal in agriculture and rural development, as well as access to land. The consortium implementing the project includes universities, research institutes, non-governmental organizations and small and medium-sized enterprises from 12 European countries.
