University of Wrocław to hold a hybrid conference “(In) equality in literature, language and media”

Students of the Doctoral College of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Wrocław are inviting participants to the scientific conference “(In) equality in literature, language and media”. This hybrid conference will be held on June 22 at the Institute of Romance Philology and on MS Teams. Participation in the event will be possible online only.

The aim of the conference is to present various perspectives of perceiving (in)equality as a social, economic, political and cultural phenomenon, which is the subject of research by literary scholars, linguists, media scholars, communicators and specialists in related disciplines.

(In)equality is currently one of the main themes of public discourse that addresses this issue in the context of tolerance, political correctness, obligations and rights. The conference will include speeches, workshops and discussion panels in three areas: Gender identity, corporeality, sexuality; Politics and Society; Text images of otherness.
