University of Zielona Góra launches EPI Lubusz Wine Innovations Operational Group Consortium

The University of Zielona Góra launched the Consortium Operational Group EPI Lubuskie Winiarskie Innowacje (LuWIN). The consortium members’ goal is to develop and implement an integrated wine growing system in the Lubuskie region.

The establishment of the consortium is part of the creation of the Lubuskie winemaking brand, referring to the long, glorious history dating back to the Middle Ages, revealing, however, its new face, worthy of the beginning of the 21st century.

The project focuses on integrating different techniques, technologies, cultivation and decision-making tools to obtain the expected certainty of a good quantitative and qualitative grape harvest and the production of high-quality wine.

The consortium, in addition to the university in Zielona Góra, includes a group of winemakers from Lubusz, as well as Lignite Mine in Sieniawa, Waste Management Plant Marszów, Lubusz Center for Agrotechnical Innovation and Implementation and Lubuski Agricultural Advisory Center in Kalsko.
