14.09.2021

This year, the Economic Award of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) was received by the President of the Management Board of the Maspex Group, Krzysztof Pawiński. At the gala on September 7, on the first day of the Economic Forum in Karpacz, the winner was awarded by the rector of the Warsaw School of Economics, Prof. Piotr Wachowiak.

“May you live in interesting times!” – says a well-known Chinese proverb. Irony? Pessimist forecast? For many people – it certainly is, but not for Krzysztof Pawiński – said the Rector of the Warsaw School of Economics, Prof. Piotr Wachowiak. When asked about the pandemic in a recent interview, he said that it could be a leaven of good change, so people cannot waste this crisis. – It’s not the end of the world. After the crisis, everything will be different, but better. After all, failure or even a crisis can be, and even should be, seen as an opportunity – for development, a better future, progress. We just need to skillfully deal with this difficult lesson that life teaches us more than once – pointed out Prof. Wachowiak.

Krzysztof Pawiński is a co-founder and co-owner of the Maspex Group, and currently also the President of the Management Board of Maspex Group – one of the largest companies in the segment of food products in Central and Eastern Europe. He graduated from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków.
