Wielkopolska Union of Public Vocational Colleges launched

27.02.2018

Rectors of the State Higher Vocational Schools from Kalisz, Leszno, Gniezno, Konin and Piła decided to establish a Union of Wielkopolska Public Vocational Schools.

The Act on Higher Education assumes the cooperation of universities, which may cover many areas in the scope of organization, competence, personnel policy, financial economy, conducting scientific research, publishing activities or administrative services. Importantly, establishing a university relationship does not deprive them of their autonomy.

Currently, there are three unions of universities in Poland two of which were established in the last quarter of 2017.

The rectors of the Wielkopolska vocational universities will present the union idea to Jarosław Gowin – the deputy prime minister, minister of science and higher education.
