Wroclaw University of Economics to switch to renewable electricity by 2030

Wroclaw University of Economics is the first university in Poland, which declared its willingness to use only renewable sources of electricity. Rector of the University, Prof. Andrzej Kaleta, signed the plan “100% Committed”. of the Climate Reality Project team.

Professor Kaleta declared that by 2030, the energy used at the university campus will come exclusively from renewable sources, which will contribute to reducing carbon emissions, mitigating climate change and increasing air quality. The University wants to be part of this process both theoretically – through scientific and didactic work – and practically, creating a green campus.

The Climate Reality Project is a venture set by the Nobel Peace Prize laureate and the former US vice president Al Gore to accelerate the transition to clean energy and solve the climate crisis.
