15.03.2019

Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Piotr Müller, who is also the chairman of the reform implementation team explained the changes that the “Constitution for Science” brings to the students and scientists of the Faculty of Political Science of the Maria Curie Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin.

– The reform allows to use the scientific capital, because so far the scientists have been focused on publishing many works, not necessarily of high scientific value – said Deputy Minister Müller during the meeting. We want scientists to publish their four most important research. We require them to do it once every four years and to focus on ambitious research, which brings results for citizens – he added.

One of the changes introduced by the law on higher education and science is that universities can join federations and perform as a one body. Deputy Minister Müller said that he hopes that such a federation will also be created by Lublin universities.
