The EcoPark was established on the Baltic Campus of the University of Gdańsk. It is the only project in the region that combines educational, scientific and recreational functions. Its total cost is almost PLN 3 million with over PLN 2 million co-financed from European funds.
The park was created between the faculties of biology, chemistry and mathematics, physics and informatics on the university campus in Gdańsk Oliwa. It is an area of ​​preservation and promotion of biodiversity. It also fulfills educational, scientific and recreational functions to the entire local community.
The research on the species that require special care and practical classes for students are planned in it. The park will contribute to the increase of the ecological value of Gdańsk by increasing access to green areas and thus properly developed areas for recreation of students and Gdańsk residents.
