Five nominees for the Prof. Kotarbiński Award

The Jury of the Prof. Tadeusz Kotarbiński Award chose five authors of books that will compete for the title of the best book in the humanities. This is the fourth nationwide competition organized by the University of Lodz. The grand finale will take place on November 25, 2018 at the Łódź Philharmonic Theatre.

The works nominated for the prize include: Islamophobia as a technology of power. Study on political anthropology by Monika Bobako, (Society of Authors and Publishers of Scientific Works UNIVERSITAS); Theoretical disputes in jurisprudence. Perspective of holistic pragmatism by Adam Dyrda, (Scientific Publisher SCHOLAR); Case of the Eleven. The imprisonment of the leaders of NSZZ “Solidarność” and KSS “KOR” 1981-1984 by Andrzej Friszke (Znak Horyzont publishing house, in cooperation with the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences); A dream of a perfect nation. Between biopolitics and ethnopolitics by Piotr Madajczyk, (NERITON Publishing House and Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences); Is there something that we call moral character and virtue? by Natasza Szutta, (Academicon Scientific Publisher).
