Polish universities have fulfilled the task of providing the mass education. However, now is the time for a more quality-oriented, more elitist education – said Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education.

Deputy Prime Minister Gowin emphasized that if we want to have a prosperous society, a dynamically developing economy, we must invest in science and in Polish universities. – I emphasized the word “investment” because it is really an investment. The money invested in science returns – added Gowin.

The head of the Ministry of Science reminded that this year Poland has had a record increase in expenditure on science and higher education for 30 years. Over 2 billion from the state budget and 3 billion in the form of state treasury bonds will be allocated to the public universities.
