Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals in Gliwice to receive over 850,000 PLN

27.06.2019

Research Network Łukasiewicz – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals in Gliwice was included in the consortium, which will carry out the project “Multiscale analysis of microstructure changes of surface layers resistant to abrasion of plasma sprayed and remelted using concentrated energy sources in the aspect of improving their mechanical properties”.

The consortium include: Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza in Kraków as the Leader; Research Network Łukasiewicz – Institute of Welding and Research Network Łukasiewicz – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals. They are planning to investigate the phenomena occurring during laser or electron beam remelting of layers based on nickel alloys doped with renable Ni-Cr-Re sprayed plasma.

The total cost of the project is over 850,000. PLN. The money is allocated cfrom the budget of the National Science Center.
