Medical University of Wroclaw launches Medical Simulation Center

The Wroclaw Medical University launched officially Medical Simulation Center. The investment cost is almost PLN 23 million. Full-time classes will start in October.

There are 6 high-fidelity rooms (operating theater, intensive care unit for newborns, children and adults, hospital emergency department, delivery room, ambulance simulator and nursing room) in the Center.

The Center is provided with the real hospital equipment and the patient simulators (phantoms). During the classes students will participate in the simulation scenarios and will work directly with the phantom.

The Medical Simulation Center also has a virtual reality room where students will learn to perform ultrasound tests on simulators of the highest class and perform simulated operations in the field of laparoscopy, endoscopy and procedures on blood vessels.
