Nicolaus Copernicus University to cooperate with the Vatican Foundation

The Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun has concluded a cooperation agreement with the Joseph Ratzinger – Benedict XVI Vatican Foundation. One of the most important goals of joint activities is the establishment and awarding of the international scientific prize “Ratio et Spes”.

The prize will be awarded every year in a different area of study. Each year, the Scientific Council will appoint an international jury of recognized specialists in the area. The award ceremony will be held during the University Day – February 19.

As part of the cooperation, it is also planned to create the Joseph Ratzinger Research Center at the Faculty of Theology a university, which will promote the ideas and teachings of Joseph Ratzinger, and jointly organize scientific and popularizing events.
