Over EUR 27 million from the European Investment Bank for the Poznan University of Medical Sciences

The European Investment Bank provided the Medical University of Poznan with a 27.3 million euro loan from the Juncker plan. The money will be used to build and equip the Medical Simulation Center.

As part of the investment, a new facility of Collegium Pharmaceuticum will be built as well as the Center for Innovative Pharmaceutical Technologies. The funds will also allow the construction of the ophthalmology department and the Hospital Rescue Department.

The vice-president of the EIB, Vazil Hudák, European Commissioner for health and food safety, Vytenis Andriukaitis and Minister of Investment and Development Jerzy Kwieciński, took part in the official signing of the agreement. Medical University of Poznan was represented by the rector of the university – Prof. Andrzej Tykarski. The transaction is guaranteed by the European Fund for Strategic Investments.
