Researcher at the University of Silesia participates in the congress One World, Many Voices

Dr Katarzyna Węsierska from the Institute of the Polish Language of the University of Silesia as the only representative of Polish speech therapists participated in the first congress “One World, Many Voices: Science & Community”.

The Hiroshima Congress was organized by the International Fluency Association (IFA), the International Cluttering Association (ICA) and the International Stuttering Association (ISA). During the congress, dr Węsierska presented the results of the research conducted in international teams, and during the annual ICA meeting she was elected for the next term as its secretary and editor of its newsletter.
Dr Węsierska is an adjunct at the Institute of Polish Language at the University of Silesia; she founded and runs the Speech Therapy Center in Katowice, she is the head of the Postgraduate Studies: Speech Disorders. As the first Polish speech therapist, she was awarded the prestigious title of European Speech Disorders Specialist.
