Researcher of Adam Mickiewicz University receives the Foundation for Polish Science Award

Professor Andrzej Wiśniewski from the faculty of psychology and cognitive science of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań received the Foundation for Polish Science Award 2019, which is recognized as the most important scientific distinction in Poland.

Professor Wiśniewski received an award in the humanities and social sciences for developing the concept of inferential logic of questions. Solutions proposed by Prof. Wiśniewski can be used in machine learning, the development of artificial intelligence, the improvement of internet search engines or effective analysis of databases.

The Foundation for Polish Science Prize is awarded for special scientific achievements and discoveries that push the boundaries of cognition and open new cognitive perspectives, make an outstanding contribution to the civilization and cultural progress of our country and provide Poland with a significant place in addressing the most ambitious challenges of the modern world. The prize is 200,000 PLN.
