Researcher of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań becomes member of EASA

Professor Marek Kwiek from the Institute of Philosophy of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, director of the Center for Public Policy Studies, became an ordinary member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA).

EASA is one of the most prestigious scientific and artistic organizations in Europe. It associates over 2,000 the most outstanding scientists and artists from all over Europe, among whom there are 32 Nobel Prize winners. Its members are divided into groups of humanities, medical, artistic, natural, social, technical, religious sciences and management experts. Professor Kwiek was admitted to the “social sciences, law and economics” group.

The EASA includes 34 Polish professors Jerzy Buzek, Andrzej Zoll, Andrzej B. Legocki, Jacek Namieśnik and Jerzy Woźnicki. In 2015, Prof. Michał Kleiber, the former president of the Polish Academy of Sciences, became the vice president of the Academy.
