Researcher of the University in Częstochowa becomes the vice-president of EPNOE

Dr Janusz Kapuśniak, Prof. of the University of Humanities and Natural Sciences in Częstochowa (UJD) became the vice-president of the European Polysaccharide Network of Excellence (EPNOE).

Dr Kapuśniak, vice-rector for science and cooperation with the UJD abroad, was elected for a two-year term. He will be the vice president responsible for education at EPNOE. He is the only Pole in the board of the organization, its other members are scientists from Belgium, France, Portugal, Slovenia, Austria and Sweden.

EPNOE deals with organizing research, testing new ideas and developing new products based on or containing polysaccharides. It is a platform enabling the integration of its members, transfer of knowledge and organization of research and development activities, as well as education. Częstochowa University has been a member of EPNOE for four years.
