Researcher of the University of Wrocław receives the Fulbright Slavic Award scholarship

Dr Dawid Junke from the Institute of Cultural Studies of the University of Wrocław received the Fulbright Slavic Award 2020/2021 scholarship. The scholarship holder will join the staff of the University of Washington in Seattle and will conduct classes on the latest history of Polish and American cinema with local students.

The scholarship winner also wants to establish permanent cooperation between the Institute of Cultural Studies of the University of Wrocław and the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Washington. He is planning a joint scientific conference that would take place alternately in Wroclaw and Seattle.

The Fulbright Program is the United States largest scientific and cultural exchange program, with a reputation far beyond the academic community. For over 70 years, it has been supporting cooperation for the development of science, culture and interpersonal and interinstitutional relations between the United States and over 160 countries.
