11.01.2019

Researchers and physicians from the Medical University of Bialystok, together with experts from the Krakow company Techmo, will develop a VAMP diagnostic system (Voice Analysis for Medical Professionals), which is to help diagnose patients by voice analysis.

Nearly PLN 10 million has been allocated for this purpose by the National Center for Research and Development. The project will be implemented for 4 years. Thanks to this method, medical diagnostics can be initiated during a telephone conversation with a patient.

According to the marketplacezdrowia.pl, more than 500 people will take part in the research, including patients with such problems as: neurodegenerative changes, dementia, stroke and changes in the central nervous system, coronary artery disease and peripheral atherosclerosis, heart failure, obesity, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, hypothyroidism, respiratory diseases, depressive-anxiety disorders and schizophrenia.
