Silesian University of Technology developed thermal imaging stations for the hospital in Gliwice

The Silesian University of Technology has developed thermal imaging stations for the City Hospital No. 4 in Gliwice. The system designed and built by the university will screen the temperature of people entering buildings.

The University of Technology offered the use of thermal imagers from the university’s Biomedical Engineering Laboratory biomed ~ lab. The devices can be used for contact-free testing from a distance of patients and people entering a hospital or clinics.

Ultimately, the systems will be located in the main building as well as in other facilities where basic health care and emergencies will be provided. The goal is to screen all people entering buildings, which allows to detect people with elevated body temperature.
