Silesian University of Technology to hold a seminar on air pollution and monitoring its quality

The problem of air pollution and its monitoring the quality of air will be the subject of a seminar organized by the Observatory of Urban and Metropolitan Processes. The meeting will be held on May 24 at the Education and Congress Center of the Silesian University of Technology.

Introductory speeches will be delivered by: Prof. Eng. Jerzy Buzek – Member of the European Parliament; Izabela Domogała – a member of the Board of the Silesian Voivodeship; Prof. Eng. Janusz Kotowicz – Vice-Rector for Cooperation with the Socio-Economic Environment of the Silesian University of Technology; Dr Tomasz Pietrzykowski – prorector for international and national cooperation at the University of Silesia and Dr Eng. Jan Bondaruk – deputy director for environmental engineering of the Central Mining Institute.

The seminar is part of the Local Government Academy promoting and supporting the development of cooperation between the local government and the science. The event will be accompanied by the exhibition “Stop! SMOG “.
