Students from Toruń to create robots to perform administrative work

24.01.2019

Students of the faculty of economics and management at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (UMK) won the main prize in the Make Progress with Citi competition. A prize of 10,000 PLN was granted to the project “Robotic Automotion – what the robot is for?”

The aim of the project is to show the benefits of using robots, for example computer programs in business processes. In connection with its implementation, works will be created to perform the tasks of administrative back office staff.

The lack of employees concerns both the operational sphere and the back office. The solution can be automation and robotization, which are becoming more and more common in the operational sphere, while in the case of the back office they are only gaining their place. The awarded project is innovative because it draws attention to the need for automation and robotization of back office processes and the need to educate students of economics universities in the field of robotics.
