Students of the Adam Mickiewicz University research the equatorial forest in Uganda

Students of the biology department of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań are flying to Uganda for the course of Tropical Biology. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the unique equatorial forest environment located in the Kibale National Park.

Students will be acquainted with the methodology of research of primates, birds, insects and other invertebrates through observation, filming, recording, catching, measuring and analyzing results. All this will contribute to a better understanding of the phenomenon of the tropical biodiversity boom.

Classes are organized for Biology students, selected through a competition. The trip is financed in full by the faculty and Rector’s authorities. They will be led by university specialists dealing with insects, primates and birds. In the future, the course will include students and researchers from other faculties.
