Students from the BiomedUZ scientific club, operating under the Biomedical Engineering Department of the University of Zielona Góra, developed a prosthesis for Reksio – a dog that lost a part of the paw after being hit by a train.

Students of the Zielona Góra university designed a prosthesis, which consists of rigid element, which is covered with a gel pad and is joined with the 3D printed stump made of elastic fiberglass and epoxy resin to simulate work of joint, provide cushioning and prevent overloading of other joints in the limb. The elastic element was also 3D printed.
