27.06.2019

The design of Anna Domagała and Jakub Pietrucha from the architecture faculty of the Wrocław University of Technology was considered the best in the competition The International Finsa Award for Architects & Designers. Students will now supervise the construction of the pavilion that they have designed.

The competition is organized by the British company Finsa producing chipboard and MDF. It is to encourage the exploration of the topic of wood use in construction and other ecological and recyclable materials, and then use this knowledge in practice by designing a specific object
This year’s competition task was to design Woodside Pavilon – a temporary structure for the local community with a view to organizing various artistic events there. The construction cost should not exceed 15 thousand pounds. The pavilion will be built in Woodside – part of the port town of Birkenhead on the outskirts of Liverpool.
