Students of the Opole University of Technology and the University of Wroclaw created the application Sunday Shopping to check what stores are open on Sundays. They came up with an idea on March 11 – on the first Sunday when Polish stores were closed.  On April 5 the application was ready.

The students started with the database of 1,200 outlets in Poland, but they count on the help of users to broaden the database and make the application as functional as possible.

The application, which can be downloaded for free on an Android, is simple and intuitive. The users can indicate their location and find all the open stores in the neighborhood. The information is verified on a regular basis and enhanced every day. The creators are planning the development of their work, they also create a version for iPhones.
